Strongly upright, dark purple flower stems accentuate the long spikes of violet-blue flowers that begin to appear in early summer. Prefers full sun and well drained soil. Grows 24-30 inches in height when in bloom and 15-20 inches in width. Deer resistant. Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds.
